This sculpture is a minimalist boxing ring of concrete and steel. The sport is reduced to its most basic form and made solitary by the presence of just one stool and a single pair of cast bronze boxing gloves. The motion, speed and competition of the sport are all eliminated by the change in materials and the presence of only one contender, leaving a sense of frozen time and a lost legend.
