Sod, spray paint, Jugs Football Machine, & Wilson official NFL footballs
Dimensions variable

This installation pairs a football punting machine and 1,000 square feet of painted turf to examine the suspenseful moment before an air born football lands in the outstretched arms of the receiver. The installation will be activated when players take to the field to catch footballs that are sent into a high spiraling arc by the punting machine. Their preparation, anticipation and receipt of the ball will be documented for a video work which will be shown later in the exhibition.
