Type A

(c) 2004 Chris Baker
Prize (folly), 2005
Aluminum & auto body paint
Cup: 72” x 60” x 20”, overall dimensions variable

Type A is a collaborative team of the artists Adam Ames and Andrew Bordwin. For Prize (folly) they have created a monumental white athletic protective cup that appears to have toppled from the hill where it was mounted and cracked in two. The work celebrates machismo while also representing its vulnerability.
