Hair Tree, 2006
Synthetic hair
Dimensions variable
Special thanks: Brian Gallagher, Monica Nydam, Kent Johnson
Hair is a richly imbued material in mythology, popular culture and literature
and, in this installation, it is a truly surreal addition to the landscape.
Both eerie and alluring, this tree becomes a highly poetic metaphor for
the merging of femininity and nature.
