SOCRATES SCULPTURE PARK at SCOPEHamptons

Please join us for a special SCOPE HAMPTONS OPENING NIGHT BENEFIT to support
SOCRATES SCULPTURE PARK, Guild Hall and The Scope Foundation
Thursday, July 26, 2007, 5pm-9pm
5-7PM ONSITE PREVIEW RECEPTION
Be the first to preview the fair. Invited guests will have the opportunity
to view the fair and the premiere of Scope Special Projects and featured
programming. Meet exhibitors and artists from around the world while enjoying
pre-dinner cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.
7-9PM OFFSITE DINNER AT HC&G IDEA HOUSE
Enjoy a private dinner at the Hamptons Cottage and Gardens Idea
House. Ticket holders can take a shuttle directly from the Scope Fair
to a classic Hamptons shingle-style residence on the lushly landscaped
grounds of the former Warren LeRoy estate designed by noted architect
Steve Semes. Interiors feature the work of 20 talented designers in collaboration
with the editors of HC&G. Gardens feature sculptures and installations
by Scope Artists, which will be photographed for the next HC&G issue.
A buffet dinner will be catered by Michaels.
SCOPE KIDS
PRESENTED BY SOCRATES SCULPTURE PARK
This year, Scope Hamptons is proud to introduce Scope Kids artmaking workshops
presented by Socrates Sculpture Park. Led by Socrates artists over
three sessions daily, these creative and inspirational projects introduce
fundamental and contemporary artmaking techniques that incorporate a variety
of materials and media.

Halloween
Harvest Festival
Saturday, October 20, 11:00 am - 3:00 pm (rain or shine)
FREE
Come to the 7th annual Halloween Harvest Festival with your friends and
family to make a costume with Socrates Sculpture Park artists; listen
to live music and creepy tunes spun by DJ Luzmob; enjoy a special artmaking
workshop with Materials for the Arts; transform your face with face painting
by Agostino Arts, enter your dog in the 3rd annual Canine Costume Contest
or just watch the parade of creatively clad dogs; paint a pumpkin and
try harvest foods from a local restaurant.
