Embodying Empowerment with Pam Reyes

Morning Sessions: 10 AM – 12 PM
Afternoon Sessions:

Many cultures have traditional costumes that designate a person’s identity and importance, whether they belong to a certain tribe, family, or religion. During this workshop, participants will reflect on their own everyday attire, and then imagine how they might adorn themselves to create a sense of empowerment. Using various materials such as cardboard, string, feathers, beads, fabric, and more, create a wearable artwork that makes a statement about you.

NOTE: Pre-registration is required. Registration opens May 7, 2018. To register please call (718) 956-1819 x104 or email dp@socratessculpturepark.org. Your registration is not complete until you receive confirmation from a Socrates staff member.Groups can sign up for a single session or a combination of sessions.
