Low Table Part I

This spring, you can design and build your own Low Table, inspired by Isamu Noguchi’s Rudder Table (pictured above). Use simple and handsome design to create a low table for your bedroom or living room, while learning about the minimal but sturdy structure of a three-legged (tripod) table.

The 2014 Design/Build Workshops each take place over two consecutive Sundays. The kick-off session begins with an introduction at the Noguchi Museum (across the street from Socrates), followed by the workshop at the park. The dates for the Low Table workshop are as follows:

Session #1: Sunday, May 18
Kick-off:  1 PM at Noguchi Museum (9-01 33rd Road at Vernon Boulevard)
Workshop: 2 – 4 PM at Socrates (32-01 Vernon Boulevard)

Session #2: Sunday, May 25
  Workshop: 2 – 4 PM at Socrates

Space for this workshop is very limited, and registration is required. Use the form below to register up to two people; please note that a $20 materials fee per session ($40 total) is required for this workshop. Thank you for participating!

This workshop is now fully booked. Thank you for your interest!
