Perceive and Weave
Summer Outdoor Art-making Workshops offer diverse groups of children from neighborhood youth agencies, community groups, summer schools, and day camps the opportunity to participate in hands-on activities inspired by exhibitions at the park. Artists run two sessions of their workshop each day of the week and teach children fundamental and contemporary art-making techniques.

Perceive and Weave with Kimberly Kay
Once an illegal dumpsite, Socrates Sculpture Park is now filled with both built and natural beauty. The transformation of this site into a place that people see and enjoy today took many years and many hands to accomplish. Using the history and diverse landscape of the park as inspiration, from the water and fruit trees to the strange and exciting sculptures, students will create their own original artwork using basic and advanced weaving techniques.
