Piñata Making with Zaq Landsberg
MONDAY, JULY 16 – FRIDAY, JULY 20, 2018
Morning Sessions: 10 AM – 12 PM
Afternoon Sessions: 1 – 3 PM
The history of piñatas is rooted in a Mexican folk art tradition that has now been integrated into U.S. pop culture. Participants will be assisted in creating the piñata form of their choosing, in which they will learn about assembling 3D shapes, connecting them in a way that is sturdy, and transforming framework with color and texture. They can fill their piñatas and break them afterward (at home!), or keep them as an art object.
