LIC Bike Parade

SATURDAY, JUNE 7, 2014  |  11 AM – 5 PM

In preparation for the parade, children and their families are invited to repair their bikes with Recycle-A-Bicycle; and decorate their bikes at artist-led workshops. Also bring your gently used, children’s bicycle to donate or swap!

This season the Bike Parade will be led down Vernon Boulevard by Long Island City High School’s very own marching band! The LIC High School Marching Band made its debut in 2012, bursting onto the music scene by performing at sporting events, grand openings, and award ceremonies, and recently played for the inauguration ceremony of Council Member Costa Constantinides. Comprised of 41 dedicated and enthusiastic musicians, most of the students started playing their instrument in high school and love sharing their music with the wider community.
