Presented in partnership with Hellgate Farm

Connecting with nature and engaging in the production of our resources are intricate parts of our wellbeing. Urban Farming 101 is a drop-in workshop series for all ages which debuted in 2016. It covers a range of topics and activities promoting urban gardening and a permaculture lifestyle, providing opportunities for the community to connect and learn.

Hellgate Farm is a network of residential and rooftop gardens in Queens. They also staff a farm table at the Park’s Mini Market every Saturday, May through mid- November, 11 AM – 4 PM, offering fresh cut produce (the majority being harvested that same morning from their micro-local gardens), as well as small batch products such as signature hot sauces, ketchups, and dried herbs.
