DISCOVER:

Antone Könst (b. New Haven, CT in 1987; lives and works in Brooklyn, NY) received his BFA from the California Institute of the Arts in 2011 and MFA from Yale School of Art in 2014. His interest in creating art that can be viewed with multiple meanings as a tool for agency is reflected in his choice of clichéd subject matter in paintings.

Könst’s works have been exhibited in solo exhibitions, such as Artist Curated Projects, Los Angeles, CA (2018), Radical Abacus, Sante Fe, NM (2017), and Fondation des Etas-Unis, Paris, France (2015). He has also participated in group exhibitions, for example, Untitled Miami, Zieher Smith, Miami, FL (2017), The Pilgrim’s Progress, Able Baker Contemporary, Portland, ME (2016), and How to Drape the Concrete, Galerie Jean Roch Dard, Brussels, Belgium (2015), among numerous others. Könst is currently participating in an exhibition at Artist Curated Projects, Los Angeles, and has curated a group show at Art Lot, Brooklyn.
