It Is Not Levelled, After All, 1993

I was looking for a place, a place with history and character, a place with traces of time, a place where a sculpture can begin. It was almost as a seed searching for a fertile ground in order to grow. The old rotting barge provided just that, and a sculpture happened. Just a sculpture, not a statement, not a story, more like a tree that doesn’t need a justification for its existence, because we have long ago understood the need for it.
