Michael Petersen

Bottom of the Bag is created out of recycled set materials from photo shoots and found objects; the artists have created an illusionary exterior environment that seeks to challenge the viewer to perceive dichotomies such as reality and non-reality, comfort and apathy. They have positioned a used couch that was found, on top of a steel ladder. The buildings are tilting and buried in trenches, creating the feeling of a sinking ship.
