Responding to his experience working as an artist in post-Katrina New Orleans, the artist wanted to create a mobile structure that accommodates living and working arrangements and allows artists to engage with environments that have been through disasters or states of emergencies. For this project, he has utilized a used FEMA trailer and re-envisioned the structure as a new environment capable of providing all the necessary amenities for survival, as well as creating an area for studio space. Power is derived from solar panels placed on the roof. The back-side of the trailer is constructed from transparent, corrugated plastic and will allow visitors a view of the interior space. The artist welcomes visitors into the trailer while he is working.
