Two animals lay dead in the middle of a grove of trees within the Park. One, a full-scale buffalo, the other, a thin unicorn. The two animals play off of one and other’s mythology and physicality. The buffalo, loaded with the history of American colonization, is made from rough, dark adobe, and is realistically rendered. The unicorn, a fictitious animal known from myths and children’s stories, is made of immaculate white ceramic, and embellished with glowing colors and metals.
