Rubber and Wood, 1993Mixed media inculding natural found objects, plywood, reeds, rubber hose, and thread

I work with different materials: wax, plaster, steel, wood, cardboard, and found things — recognizing something that is more than interesting, usually, and less than significant, initially.

Found objects facilitate for me an experience, which James Joyce refers to as epiphanies. An epiphany is the sudden “revelation of the whatness of a thing,” the moment in which the commonest object seems to radiate.”
