Who’s Doubting Who, 1989Cast concrete16' × 4' × 10'
It’s a wonder some times how sculptors manage to build the things they do. The projects usually involve aspects of engineeering, business, construction, fundraising, public relations, and just about every other field from the mundane to the most complex, at times forcing the artists to function in roles usually thought to require expertise. The Artists and Workers I met while at Socrates finished projects that under the best of circumstance would be extremely difficult and, driven by their own initiative, completed works which truly reflect a commitment to sculpture.
