Rapunzel

I am inspired to tempt and to unsettle, I like watching and experiencing our body’s involuntary responses to attraction or repulsion. My work lies somewhere between beauty and the grotesque. I utilize the formal qualities of my materials, such as elasticity or color, to tease the viewer’s expectations of taste, smell, and texture. I feel striving for a visceral response from the viewer creates a connection with my work.
