Tree Rings Readings and Workshop with Heidi Neilson of SP Weather Station

Can trees feel the weather? Like giant living weather stations recording their environment in their bodies, the width and character of annual growth rings of trees can describe a great deal about the conditions present as the trees grow. 

This idea is a starting point for this workshop, as well as the weather data recorded by the ‘Sky Tickler’ SP Weather Station over the last year and tree observations around the park, we’ll create a forest of tree ring drawings and impressions.
