Rust Dyeing Workshop

2018 Socrates Artist Fellow collaboraters Joe Riley & Audrey Snyder are leading a series of rust dyeing workshops as part of their project Into the Ground for The Socrates Annual exhibition:

“Taking as our central concern a collective examination of the ground, this workshop invites participants to dye canvas material with discarded, lost and found iron objects. Excavated from the waste streams and residues of the city, we will arrange these rusty objects to collectively produce a semipermanent and volatile iron oxide dyed image.”
