What is Heaven Like? Workshop by Gi (Ginny) Huo

Sunday, October 24 • 11AM – 2PM • All Ages Welcome • Free Drop In Workshop!
Experience dreaming of ‘what heaven is like?’ and create your own sanctuary using tools, wood, and materials inspired from 2021 Socrates Annual Fellow Gi (Ginny) Huo’s piece, an act or offering, what if? sculpture. This workshop is a free drop in session; open to ages 10+, families, or individuals, any skill level.
Class size is limited to 20 participants for social distancing purposes. Each workshop participant must wear a mask covering their nose and mouth unless they are under the age of two.
This workshop will include a tour of the artwork, “an act or offering, what if?”, tool demonstration, a making session, and sharing. Inspired by Huo’s work, participants will be creating their own sanctuaries and what heaven is like to them.
This program is made possible by the New York City Artist Corps Grant Program.
