Sculpture in Homage to my family of Demotica, Greece.

I choose to install my sculpture close to the river, in a steep spot. The sculpture will be set into the ground; we could miss it. Why must a sculpture in a park be seen immediately? Coming back to the idea that in Nature, we have to take time to observe, to find something. So, from a distance one sees only 3 empty holes in the earth. The spectator must lean over them to discover their secrets: planes of color and shapes. Forms appear or disappear as the spectator moves around the sculpture. It is a kind of hypnotism and vertigo within the Earth. We lose our point of reference: the empty becomes full, the solid becomes liquid.

Thanks to Christian Collussi who was very nice to me.
