Green Day 2024 Saturday, April 20 | 12 – 5 PM Celebrate Earth Day this year at Socrates with free, family-friendly hands-on activities. Get in the dirt and help plant our garden beds with farmer and educator Anna Poaster (rsvp free link below). Bring a plant for exchange, led by Astoria Green Giving Plant Group. Participate in Upcycled materials with a craft project by Materials for the Arts, a mending & patching workshop with Quinn Chen, and make cyanotypes with our Artist Fellow, Landon Newton. Learn about 100% vegetable recipes with the Connected Chef, and nourishing herbs + plant oracle reading with Entangled Herbs. Receive a free gift when you sign-up for a Queens Perennial CSA. There’s lots to explore, create, and learn; and don’t forget to submit a name for our Worm Naming Contest! Food vendors include Pinche Vegana and Makina Cafe.
